10 Years of Weird!

Welcome to the official website of Shawnee Mission Northwest High School Orchestras! It’s hard to believe that it’s been ten years since I walked into SMNW, but it’s true. And it’s time to celebrate the great things that have been accomplished in the past decade by our outstanding students. From 18 students to over 120, from Division II ratings to 4th at the National Orchestra Festival, this program has become a powerhouse of musical excellence!

But first, if you’re a parent, you’ll want to surf over to the right there and download the handbook! This is the orchestra manual, the tome of timing, the book of everything ork dork! Okay, it’s got most of the important stuff in it. Please print it off, read it with your student, then surf over to the download page. Print everything off, fill it out, and, most importantly, make sure I get it back!

This year’s going to be a lot of fun: themed concerts, OLT mischief and mayhem, supporting our fellow SMNW musicians, playing our very best, and making great, life-long friends! If you have any questions about SMNW Orchestras, please don’t hesitate to drop me an email!
